Hard though it is to believe, JCYO is 21 years in existence this Spring. Terry McCarthy has been at the helm since the orchestra's very first rehearsal back in 1991 and continues to conduct with the same degree of enthusiasm and attention to detail as ever. The orchestra started out with a membership of just 18 players. Today that number has grown to 71. JCYO's most recent performance was in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, when they brought to a close the wonderful evening of music presented by the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras (IAYO).
